Adding new shape, text or bitmap to the canvas

Add new shape (from shape library)

To add a new shape object to the canvas click the Edit / New Shape item on the main menu. This will add default new shape (rectangle) with default color (red). Now you can apply any desired shape (from Shapes Library) to this new object and color or style (from Styles Library).
You can also create shape by directly selecting object from shape library, to do so unselect any objects on the canvas (click somewhere on the canvas where no objects are located) and click on the desired shape from the shapes library, this shape will be added to the canvas

Add new bitmap (image from file)

Click the Edit / Import Image item on the main menu. Choose an image file from your computer disk space. This image will be placed on the canvas.
The following image types are supported for import operation: PNG,JPG,TIFF,BMP,TGA and GIF. Please note that only PNG files support semitransparent background.
All external bitmap images added to Jeta are stored in it's original resolution in internal Jeta structures. This will enable you to apply as many re-size or rotate operations to these images as you need without any quality loss.

Add new text line

To add a new text object to the canvas click the Edit / New Text item on the main menu. The "New Text Line" object will be added to the canvas and text styles window will open, allowing you to easily edit text and font of a new text line. Now you can apply any desired color (select Shape Fill at the top of the styles window) or styles (from Styles Library).
